History
Wouver was founded in 2024 by Arthur Tatchou, who identified a significant gap in digital services available to African students and freelancers. The platform was built and launched in the same year, onboarding the first wave of users.
By 2025, the platform expanded to include an integrated payment wallet (Wouver Wallet), an enhanced matching algorithm, and team workspaces for collaborative projects.
As of 2026, Wouver operates as a multi-service ecosystem with a marketplace, service booking, and digital payments — serving users across Cameroon and expanding to the broader African market.
Mission
Empower digital entrepreneurship and help people monetize their digital skills. We believe everyone should have access to the tools and opportunities needed to build a sustainable online career.
Vision
Build one of the largest digital ecosystems for students and freelancers. A world where talent is the only barrier to entry, not geography, connections, or capital.
